Every year in the fall, it’s time to get vaccinated against the dangerous influenza flu, which should never be confused with a common cold (cough, bronchitis, fever).
Every year, several thousand people in Germany die from the complications of real flu. The only effective protection is the flu vaccination.
This vaccination is generally well tolerated and the side effects are usually minor. Occasionally there is a pulling sensation in the upper arm the next day. Serious side effects are very rarely observed.
Please do not forget your vaccination card.
THE FLU VACCINATION MAKES SENSE FOR THE FOLLOWING GROUPS OF PEOPLE:
- All persons over 60 years of age
- All persons (including those under 60) who suffer from a chronic illness (e.g. diabetes, high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, cancer, etc.)
- All persons who are professionally exposed to an increased risk (healthcare, education, sales, field service, authorities with customer traffic, etc.)
- People who live in a household with a person from the risk groups mentioned.
If you belong to one of these groups, you should get vaccinated. The flu vaccination is covered by all health insurance companies and we have the vaccine in stock at our practice.
